The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 5th. We will have the church doors open from 7:00 AM until 7:oo PM so that people can come and pray.. It is a “come and go” event so that you can come at your convenience for a time of prayer for our nation. There will be a prayer guide to help you focus on areas that especially need prayer, but we want you to just have a time of heart-felt communication with God. Don’t just give a list of things you want changed in our nation, but listen for God’s response; how He wants to use you to make a difference in this wonderful nation. We do need volunteers to be here to hand out the prayer guides and welcome those who come. Please sign up in the hallway beside the rear door. And…encourage family and friends to come.
Another focus for prayer is Vacation Bible School. It is just over a month away (June 12 – 16). It isn’t too early to include the event in your prayers! Pray for the workers as they prepare but also be praying for each child that attends, and their family that we touch with VBS. I’ve heard so many testimonies over the years from people whose life was changed because of VBS. It can, and will, happen here. Help get the word around about the dates, too.
Say something good about your Savior and about His church here in Bluff Park.
