The Franklin Graham Festival of Hope begins Friday night, August 14. I hope that you are planning on attending. What a blessing it will be to heard one the world’s greatest preachers share the word of God. I look forward to hearing ever word. But please remember that this event is primarily focused on winning the lost to Christ; this is an evangelistic effort. Be in prayer for each and every lost person that attends and do your best to get your family, friends, acquaintances to attend. I know God is going to work a great work in our area: Lets do our best to make sure it happens in Bluff Park.
Please be in prayer for a new “Church Year” as we children move up to different Sunday School classes, new members join committees, and other volunteers renew their tasks. I especially want us to focus on Sunday School this year…small-group Bible studies are still the best way to grow a church in so many ways. Not only does it increase our knowledge and practice of God’s word but it also strengthens the bonds of fellowship and encouragement. Bible study classes are also a great outreach tool for the community. So let’s begin this new church year with a renewed excitement about our Sunday School. Invite other church members that don’t currently attend a class and invite friends, family, and co-workers to come with you.
Trust God. Plan big. Work hard.
