Sunday is “Bring a Friend” day in Sunday School. I hope that you have already invited someone to come with you. I have read that a very large segment of people do not attend a local church simply because no one has personally invited them. And statistics tell us that people are more likely to attend a church for the first time if they know someone there. Plus…and this is important…if people know you are enthusiastic about your church they are more interested in it, too. So, speak well of your Savior, speak well of your church, and invite someone to come with you this Sunday.
On another note, “Lights On The Bluff” is Saturday. It is from 5:00 – 7:30 PM. The live nativity presentation begins at 5:00 and the hayrides, hot dogs, hot drinks and marshmallow-roasting, and make-and-take ornaments, begin at 5:30. This year we will even have boiled peanuts! There is something for everyone, even the “Scrooges” and “Grinches”! I hope you are planning on attending and helping us get the word out and make this a real “community” event!
