Remember when I said that the “dominoes” will continue to fall after the legalization of same-sex marriage and the glorification of Bruce Jenner? Well…here goes. Washington State University has classes where certain “offensive” language is banned. Among the “offensive” words are “male” and “female”. They want to be inclusive of those who identify as a sex different from their biological sex. Grades will be affected by the use of such language with a point removed for each occasion of the offense.
The University of California and the University of Tennessee are asking students to use “gender neutral” terms such as “ze” and “xe” to describe and address people so as not to upset those students who for that same reason. They are warning against assuming someone’s sex by physical appearance. They, too, want to be inclusive.
But it gets worse. Kentucky has revoked a Christian minister’s counseling visits to youth detention centers because he wouldn’t sign a document stating that he would not refer to homosexual activity as a sin or speak against transgender activity. How are these things tied together? All infringe upon Christians deeply held beliefs and censor our ability to say so. Our beliefs are being tagged as “hate speech” and forbidden in any and all discussions about sex, whether it be about identification or activity.
Let me say what many are afraid to say because they will be called hateful and bigoted and ignorant: Homosexuality and transgender identification are mental problems; they are emotional sicknesses. I don’t hate them because they have those problems…my heart breaks for them and I want them healed. Its not the body that needs help, it’s the mind.
You want “inclusive”? "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13 (NIV) and “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV). That is inclusiveness for the Christian.
Stay the course. Do not back down. Speak the truth and speak it in our love for Those who have fallen prey to the lies and deception of the evil one.
Trust God. Plan big. Work hard.
